C-energy Selects Previse Systems’ Cloud-Native ETRM Platform to Expand Electricity Market Operations
Previse Systems AG, a leading provider of next-generation Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) solutions, today announced that Czech energy company C-energy s.r.o. has chosen the Previse Coral platform to support its trading operations and ensure regulatory compliance as it expands into organised power markets.
By winning its first customer in Central Europe, Previse Systems marks an important milestone and sets the stage for accelerated expansion across the region.
C-energy operates one of the most advanced combined heat and power plants in the region, located in Planá nad Lužnicí. Formerly a coal-fired facility, it was fully converted in 2022 to run entirely on biomass from waste wood, now delivering more than 130 MW of installed capacity. C-energy also operates the Czech Republic’s largest battery storage unit, providing vital balancing services and backup supply that strengthen regional energy security and grid stability. Building on this pioneering decarbonization journey, C-energy is now ready to share its expertise with other market participants and serve as a trusted partner in electricity, gas, and ancillary services trading.
C-energy will implement Previse Coral through a phased ETRM rollout. The initial phase will establish the core system, including trade capture for production and OTC power transactions, supported by comprehensive reporting capabilities. Subsequent phases will expand the solution with integrations to the OTE day-ahead and intraday markets, while also enabling seamless regulatory reporting through Apps provided by LEAD Consult.
As a cloud-native SaaS solution on Microsoft Azure, Previse Coral combines high scalability with low operating costs, giving C-energy the flexibility to expand effortlessly as trading volumes increase.
